Artur Janibekyan

Founder

Founder of “Renaissance” cultural and intellectual foundation is Artur Janibekyan, who’s the author and sponsor of many educational, cultural and social projects in Armenia.

Now, he’s the head of entertainment channels subholding of “Gazprom Media Holding” JSC (ТНТ, ТВ-3, “Пятница” և “2х2”).

In 2007, he founded the multi-functional center “Comedy Club Production”, where he serves as CEO and general producer till nowadays. In 2008, he launched 24-hour humor channel Comedy TV. He is also the producer of many Armenian and Russian films.

Artur Janibekyan is having specialized seminars for students in Columbia University in New York, Skolkovo management school in Moscow. He is also a member of “Snob” discussion club. He bought and donated to Matenadaran valuable manuscripts of “Book of Lamentations” by Saint Gregory of Narek. He is the author and sponsor of 2 statues installed in Yerevan: “Eternal Conduct” by Davit Yerevantsi and “Men” by Davit Minasyan, as well as the memorial statue dedicated to Saint Gregory of Narek by Davit Yerevantsi in Vatican. Artur Janibekyan is one of the sponsors of “Ayb” educational foundation, which is the first innovative educational center in Armenia. With his efforts, St. Hakob church in Vardenis, Aragatsotn was renovated, “Saint Narek” chapel was built at an ancient sanctuary next to the church.

Janibekyan has been awarded for his deeds numerous times in Armenia and abroad: “Person of the year” from “GQ” magazine, “Media manager of Russia” 3 times, for outstanding achievements in creating brands and TV programs, as well as for the largest business deal in the history of Russian television and content production, the first-class medal “For Merit for the Motherland”, “Saint Grigor Lusavorich” from Armenian Apostolic Church.
