The head of the Yeghvard community, Norayr Sargsyan, expressing gratitude to the “Renaissance” Foundation, emphasized that this is an unprecedented gift for the library.
“This is a very big gift for our readers. I think that entering the library, you guessed at first glance how much we value and provide possible and impossible means to our library system. May all of us be happy that we receive such a good and valuable gift.”
According to Artak Aleksanyan, director of Newmag Publishing House, the large-scale initiative was launched jointly with Newmag’s friends, colleagues, and commercial partners.
“For us, the biggest job in life is to publish books. And the important thing is that the books reach the readers. It is clear that not everyone can buy so many books; this is the best solution for quality content to reach the reader. We are very happy and impressed with the library and sincerely believe that we will continue the program in other regions as well.”
Liparit Manyan, director of the Yeghvard Art School, noted that such initiatives have rarely been seen in recent years.
“In fact, the “Renaissance” Foundation, together with Newmag, becomes an intermediary between world literature and our readers. It is precisely such initiatives that bring the reader to the book. You connect us with tasteful literature. I would also like to see more books published about the works of composers and their personal lives and paths, because many of them remain little known.”
Honored teacher of Yeghvard, Haykuhi Hovhannisyan, also thanked Newmag for publishing modern literature.
“The books are so attractive, from the cover design to the font and printing. We are very grateful for such tasteful editions.”
At the end of the event, students from various schools and dance groups in Yeghvard presented performances dedicated to the Ascension Day for the guests.
