The series of music videos will be broadcast on Armenia TV. During the “Good Morning” program, the film’s director and soloist presented the work they had accomplished.
The project features seven national, festive, lullaby, and wedding songs. These were selected from the “Renaissance” Foundation’s Armenian National Music Treasury. The project’s director, Vahe Yan, noted that the shooting took place at the National Gallery:
“For each song, we selected a single painting, which served as the backdrop for the music videos. ‘I decided to synthesize fine art with these national songs and performances, as I had taken a different approach previously. I was interested in finding works from our National Gallery’s archives that make you feel the music just by looking at them.'”
Filming took about 17 hours. The seven songs are performed by singer and choir conductor Anahit Papayan:
“It is crucial to present national songs exactly as they originally sounded, with a pristine performance. These songs selected from the Armenian National Music Treasury are truly valuable.”
The collaboration between the singer and the “Renaissance” Foundation began years ago with the launch of the major project:
“We recorded national, spiritual, and 10 folk songs for the digital archive. Now, years later, I received an offer to perform these songs for music videos. We chose seven songs. These works represent the richest layer of our folk music.”
